Why membership exists

A living professional commitment

Completing practitioner education demonstrates learning at a point in time. Professional membership adds a continuing relationship of competency, ethical accountability, reflective practice and accurate public representation.

It is for practitioners who use Reflective Safeguarding in their work and want their current standing to be visible. Its purpose is not to replace client authority, but to help clients make informed choices about the people whose services they use.

The pathway

From education to current professional standing

  1. 1Complete recognised training
  2. 2Demonstrate competency
  3. 3Agree to the Practice Standard and Code of Ethics
  4. 4Apply for professional membership
  5. 5Maintain CPD, supervision and insurance requirements
  6. 6Hold current standing, directory listing and SpiritRSPrac
