Learning access

Accessibility Statement

Spirit Led Institute aims to make its online learning and resources usable by as many people as reasonably possible.

Our approach

We work towards the following, where practicable:

  • Readable structure and headings.
  • Keyboard-usable navigation where supported.
  • Descriptive labels and alternative text for meaningful images.
  • Sufficient colour contrast and layouts that adapt to different screen sizes.
  • Plain-language instructions.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. This statement describes our aims; it is not a claim of WCAG conformance, legal compliance or universal accessibility.

Barriers and reasonable adjustments

If you encounter a barrier or need a reasonable adjustment, you are welcome to contact the Institute. You don't need to be signed in: email sharon@spiritledinstitute.com, or signed-in students can choose “Accessibility barrier or reasonable adjustment” in the account support form. Requests are considered individually and handled respectfully and confidentially, in line with our Privacy Notice. Consistent with the Disability Standards for Education, we will consult with you about what you need and make adjustments that are reasonable. If we decide a particular adjustment is not reasonable, we will explain why in writing and discuss alternatives. We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and respond in full within 20 business days, or tell you if more time is needed.

For assessed courses, reasonable adjustments may change how a learner demonstrates learning, but must not remove the course’s essential learning outcomes or compromise its integrity. Check the individual course page for assessment requirements; not all courses have assessment or certificates.

You can tell us:

  • The page, feature or content causing difficulty.
  • Your device, browser or assistive technology, if you wish.
  • The format or adjustment that may help.

PDF documents

Some documents are also offered as PDFs, which may not work well with every screen reader. The policies in the Policies & Governance Collection (PDF) are available as web pages: Terms, Privacy, Refunds and Education & Governance. If you need another document in a different format, please ask.

Third-party content and services

Third-party services and externally linked content may have separate accessibility limitations and policies. If these affect your access to Institute learning, please let us know through the same contact pathway.
