Healthy organisations do more than meet obligations. They create structures in which people can work, contribute, disagree, belong and be treated with dignity.

Building Healthy Organisations™ is a practical self-paced course for leaders, board members, managers, administrators and community practitioners who want to understand how organisations really function beneath the organisational chart.

Learners explore responsibility gaps, concentrated authority, policy–practice contradictions, communication bottlenecks, fragile systems and the hidden dependence that can develop around highly capable people. More importantly, they learn what healthier architecture can look like.

The course brings together governance, living compliance, community health and human dignity through Sharon Mackenzie's Community Architecture™ approach.

Core course material: The Architecture of Belonging — Sharon Mackenzie. The book is the course's underlying philosophy and reading companion, exploring community architecture, governance, leadership, power, communication, role clarity, procedural fairness, belonging, safeguarding, participation, repair, adaptability and flourishing. The course is the practical application: once we can see the architecture, how do we build it well?

Scope: this is independent educational professional-development material. It is not an AQF qualification, nationally recognised training, a compliance audit, legal opinion, WHS assessment, safeguarding investigation, psychological assessment, professional registration or government accreditation. Laws, regulations and professional obligations vary by jurisdiction and change over time; learners must check current authoritative requirements and obtain appropriately qualified advice where necessary. Examples are fictional or composite and are used to examine systems and patterns, not to diagnose or identify real people or organisations.
